I figured the belt slipped because I had it under a lot of pressure. Later while in 4x4 again I was trying to get out a creek bed slowly, in low, I heard the slight chirp again. There is a linkage adjustment you'll need to look through you factory repair manual, if you don't have the manual you can get the link to download it off the forum under free manual.
