Cste photocathode
WebCsTe photocathode, which is sensitive to the wavelength region from 120 to 310 nm. The heart of each MAMA detector is a microchannel plate (MCP) – a thin disk of glass approximately 1.5 mm thick and 5 cm in diameter that is honeycombed with small (12.5-micron) holes or pores. The front and back surfaces are metal coated. With a voltage WebBiblio data only below the dashed line. Full text data coming soon.

WebThe photocathode, a crucial component of the upgraded facility, is fabricated on-site. The RF gun generates high-charge, short-pulse, single bunches (Q > 100 nC) and long … WebThe semiconductor photocathodes, made of alkali antimonides, GaAs(Cs), CsI, or Cs2Te, have the best QE up to 1%–10% [5]. Among them, Cs2Te is relative robust and can be rejuvenated after the QE dropping down [6]. Cs2Te is a p-type semiconductor with the band gap of 3.2 eV and the electron affinity of roughly 0.3 eV.
Webphotocathode was heated to 230 °C and two small, circu-lar portions of it, namely 2 mm in diameter, were subse-quently illuminated by the 254 nm radiation, Figure 1: Quantum efficiency as a function of the Cs nominal thickness during the fabrication of the photocathode. The arrows indicate the fabrication steps at Webphotocathode rf-gun. In our laboratory, Cesium Telluride (Cs-Te), one of the semiconductor photocathodes, is used as an electron source for accelerator experiments. This semiconductor photocathode is known for high quantum efficiency (Q.E.) about 5 to 10% and 3-month 1/e lifetime. High Q.E. photocathodes can reduce the power require-

Webthe sensitivity of the CsTe photocathode could be easily affected by tiny impurities and this is why such detectors should be made of carefully chosen materials and be carefully sealed. The long-term stability of such sealed detectors could be achieved only in low counting rate applications because at low rates the outgassing and aging are small. cynthia cole facebookWebUniversity of Chicago cynthia cole boeingWebCSTE Careers. “CSTE works to advance public health policy and increase epidemiologic capacity.
