The extra two on early models were in the 5 volt feeds to the USB ports. Even if your RPi is one that has those polyfuses they couldn't cause the symptoms you report. The touchscreen was fine, still showed stuff and the touch part worked. But the stepper test did not do a thing, so probably the DRV8833 is toast as well, or maybe the stepper somehow got damaged.
