WebK'gari (Fraser Island) is a complex ecosystem of sand dunes and lakes with subtropical forests growing solely on sand, and contains half of the world's perched lakes and was inscribed on the World Heritage List in 1992, in recognition of its outstanding natural universal values. It was included on the National Heritage List in 2007.
