They aren't moved/removed from the creature, and The Ozolith wouldn't be able to work properly if it told you to "move" the counters because the counters cease to exist after the creature goes to the graveyard. WebbSo if your creatures already have counters on them, giving them undying does nothing. This is a kind of funky card but I ran it for a long while and it filled this role [[Cauldron of Souls]]. It's cheaper than mikaeus and colorless so its easy to cast and will nearly always work with your creatures because they all have +1 counters or worst case no counters.
